Anonother interesting EPL game today between the teams of Portsmouth and Liverpool.
Pompey is still stuck in the bottom of the table with only 11 points.After Grant took the team the situation seems better, but the results are not very good, of course Pompey played against big teams and it was absolutely normal to lose, at least they on the most important game recently played - against Burnley at Fratton Park.
In midweek the team made pretty decent performance against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, but lost 2:1.It's true Chelsea controlled the game, but it was obvious Drogba missed the team.Even though Pompey had their chances, but Prince - Boateng showed that he's not reliable under pressure.
Now Portsmouth will play against another top 4 side, which appears to have huge troubles, but I wonder how will the team look, I still don't believe the team has enough convidence to oppose such teams.
For the match today James is still doubtful, while Kaboul returns to the squad after suspension.
Pool is on the 6th position with 27 points, 5 less than the 4th.I think the team is getting out of the crisis and the reasons are obvious:
-The disappointment after leaving CL is now behind and I think the players are focused on the performance in EPL;
-The injury crisis in the team is apparently over as Torres, Babel and Johnson return to the squad, the only missing player is Riera, so Benitez has almost full squad to choose from for the game today.
-The recent positive results should boost the confidence of the players.
Pool at last made convincing win over Wigan in midweek - 2:1, not so convincing as result, but the most important is the team played very well, so I think we can expect better days
for the Reds.I will trust Pool today, I just think the team has left all the troubles behind and they will be able to break the opposition of the poor Pompey.
